1961 was a year for the history books. John F. Kennedy became the 35th President of the United States. Alan Shepard explored the final frontier. Willy Mays, the "say hey kid" made his famous over the shoulder catch in center field. Two long-time Aspenites, Bill Mason and Wendy Morse, opened the doors of their real estate company at the corner of Hyman and Galena in downtown Aspen, Colorado. And the rest, as they say, is history.
